GRAHAM WATSON'S TOUR DE FRANCE WINES The 2010 Tour de France was launched in Rotterdam with a prologue time-trial on July 3, 2010. Following the prologue, the 97th Tour de France was made up of 20 stages and covered a total distance of 3,642 kilometres, finishing on the Champs-Elysees in Paris on Sunday, July 25, 2010. There were 9 flat stages, 6 mountain stages and 3 summit finishes, 4 medium mountain stages, and 1 individual 52 km time-trial stage. In the 97th Tour le Tourmalet was climbed twice, there was a hint of the Classics and cobblestones, 2 rest days, and 25 level 1, level 2 and highest level mountain passes.
